Description
Sambucus nigra is a species of fast-growing deciduous shrub or bush belonging to the Adoxaceae family. It is found mainly in Europe, western Asia and North Africa, except in mountainous regions. Its flowers bloom for about a month beginning in April. The fully opened yellow blossoms, which release a subtle odor, are harvested by hand every two or three days.
