HORSE CHESTNUT

Description

The horse chestnut tree can grow to a height of 30 meters and live for 200 years. Originally native to Asia Minor, it is now found in Europe and North America, where it is a common sight in parks. It produces red-spotted pink or white blossoms in pyramid-shaped clusters. Its fruit is a spiky capsule that contains a seed, called the chestnut.
