Native to Australia, lemon eucalyptus is a species of tree belonging to the Myrtaceae family. It grows in mountains and hillside woods. Like its cousins (eucalyptus globulus and eucalyptus radiata), it has become particularly acclimatized in regions around the Mediterranean, as well as in America. It owes its name to the strong lemony scent emanating from its foliage.
