Description

A member of the Rosaceae family, hawthorn is native to Europe and particularly widespread in France. This hermaphroditic plant grows into a very hardy common shrub that can reach heights of four to ten meters. It is often found in hedges and along roadsides. The plant blossoms in May, producing white flowers that form red berries in the period from September to October.
