PASSIFLORA

Description

Passiflora incarnata is a climbing plant of the Passifloraceae family. Originally native to the southeastern United States and Mexico, it disappears completely in the colder regions during the winter. Today it is found throughout the Americas and is cultivated in tropical and subtropical zones. The aerial parts of the plant are traditionally used to treat insomnia and anxiety.
