Clary sage (Salvia sclarea) is a semi-perennial plant grown in various countries (France, Ukraine, China). The whole plant contains a high level of sclareol, a powerful molecule appreciated for its ability to be transformed into amber-scented derivatives. Clary sage fields are harvested in June/July.
