Description

Thyme is a sub-shrub growing up to 40 cm tall, with small flowers of various colours and evergreen leaves. It is grown in the sunny regions of southern Europe and North Africa, mainly around the Mediterranean basin. Although it is famous for its use in cooking as an aromatic ingredient, thyme also contains an essential oil that can be used to make various extracts.
