Biolandes Andalousia

Date d'installation : 1988

Situation géographique : PUEBLA DE GUZMAN, ANDALUSIA, SPAIN

Our Andalusian factory is located in the Andévalo region, in a natural site of several thousand hectares. Nestling between Seville and Portugal, the hot, dry climate in this area is conducive to growing cistus plants wild.

LINES OF BUSINESS: GATHERING AND PRODUCTION

Our facilities include stills and extractors that operate continuously to produce all cistus extracts. Our factory is equipped with a biomass boiler powered by cistus residue. We also have a fully automated production workshop to produce and process labdanum gum in optimum environmental safety conditions. Every day we monitor over 2,000 hectares of wild lands, located near our production site, where Gum rockrose (cistus ladanifera) grows naturally. By ensuring regular, controlled maintenance of these gathering areas, we help to prevent the risks of fire related to the propagation of plants. Our cistus is certified NOP and organic by Ecocert. Nearly 20 permanent employees work daily on the site. Come harvest-time, some 50 seasonal workers are also hired.
