Cornflower is an annual plant native to the Mediterranean Basin. It has long green-gray stems crowned with flowers whose color varies from blue to violet. It was originally an arable plant growing alongside grain crops. Today farmers sow cornflower seeds in the spring, depending on their crop rotation cycles.

Since 2018, our cornflower production chain has been certified according to the Fair For Life standard, in recognition of the actions taken to promote fair trade. We work directly with producers in the Drôme region of France, favoring short supply chains in order to ensure optimal control over the quality of the raw material.

In cosmetics, cornflower extracts are used in products like after-sun lotions, compresses, body milks and makeup remover oils. They are also used in products for sensitive skin and dull, sagging skin, as well as eye care. In addition, our cornflower hydrolates can be used in lotions and the aqueous phases of emulsions.
